BEGINNING
The history of the BOTICHELLI brand specializing in the creation of special gifts began in the city of Arezzo. Here the idea of starting a company for the production of original, practical and stylish gift baskets came to the mind of young and ambitious designer Alberto Botticelli. Botichelli gifts convey an image of refinement, elegance and individual touch. Each product is created in the best traditions of quality and special approach.
1987
LETTER TO FATHER AND AN EXTRAORDINARY GIFT
That year was a jubilee year for my father. I wanted to make an extraordinary gift that will remain in your memory forever! Then I decided to write a short letter in the form of an essay describing my life, and my father was the protagonist of all my good deeds. I put that letter of love and respect in a handmade gift envelope and completed it with an elegant gift set. I had to collect each piece of the basket one by one as I wandered around the city to find really interesting things. It was a long and tiring act! But won't you do anything to leave your father a beautiful happiness and bright memories?! And it was at that moment that I had the idea to create a specialty shop to sell sophisticated gift baskets... By the way, Dad was absolutely delighted with the gift!
1988
STEP TOWARDS THE DREAM
When I nurtured the idea of starting a company of my own original gifts, I didn't act right away... I had to invent something very special! I wanted to create gifts that would show the recipient all the depth of emotion and at the same time be different from other offers. That is, since they have all their high-class and elegant qualities, they must also be unique and original. This is where my design experience comes in handy. Then, it was started to create a business plan.
1989
OPENING THE FIRST BOUTIQUE
The first boutique opened on Via Trasimeno Street in May 1989. I had to rent a modestly sized building as I couldn't save much on start-up capital. At first the sales were minimal, but soon the first thousand gifts were sold!
1990
NEW LEVEL
My business was thriving so I was able to expand my company. A second boutique was opened and thus I became the owner of the original chain of souvenir shops. The primary focus was not only on the impeccable quality of the products, but also on their environmental friendliness!
1991
EUROVISION. NEW FRIEND. NEW OPPORTUNITIES.
At the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest held at "Studio 15 di Cinecittà" in Rome, I met Federico Mouani, a businessman living and working in the capital. We became good friends pretty quickly, and after a while, I sent her a gift basket to Rome. Federico was impressed and inspired! He offered to become a partner and open another BOTICHELLI gift boutique in his hometown.
1992
THE CAPITAL MARKET
In 1992, a new boutique opened in Rome! The capital market opened new horizons. Many tourists became buyers there. This meant that BOTICHELLI products began to spread all over the world.
1997
EXTENDING THE LIMITS
In 1997, a chain of BOTICHELLI souvenir shops was established in Rome.
2007
CHIBIDUE FUARI
In May 2007, BOTICHELLI company participated in CHIBIDUE 2007, an international exhibition of gifts, perfumes, fashion jewelry and accessories. The event took place at the Fiera Milano City exhibition center in Milan.
2009
ANNIVERSARY
20th anniversary of the BOTICHELLI brand! The company continues to evolve. As a manager of the company, I regularly attend international trainings and training courses (eg Insead, Singapore). I am also studying at London Business School. New achievements await us!
2011
FAMILY BUSINESS
My business has turned into a family business as my son Alessandro has become my main helping hand at work! And this is very gratifying. After all, from the very beginning I was concerned about the family continuity of the business.
2020+
KEEPING ON TIME
To keep up with the times, it was decided to open an online store of BOTICHELLI's exclusive gifts. We believe that this new increase in the development of the company will bring a new stream of success and significantly expand the purchasing geography. Despite the fact that Internet sales do not involve direct contact with buyers, our company's unchanging principle will remain the same: to focus on the individual needs of our customers! Our buyer will only receive original, high-quality, environmentally friendly offers, which are proudly known as exclusive!
